Marudyan Society is proud to be associated with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
With the help of MAX New York Life we were able to do a healthcamp with MMR (Mumps, Measles, Rubella) vacinations and vitamin supplements for the children in the Marudyan Learning Centre. We also conducted a second Healthcamp with typhoid vaccines and vitamin supplements in the Labour Camp of Belaire in Gurgaon.

The ADP staff in U.K. has organized a Soup Tuesday and Cake Thursday at work. The funds that the people save on their lunch goes towards the Operational Expenses of Marudyan Learning Centre. Isn't that a tremendous initiative as here in India sharing food is considered saying I appreciate you and we are friends. Dear Friends at ADP. Thank you for this warm gesture and your partnership!
receive the Dutch Ambassador Mr. Hiensch and two of the Embassy staff Ayesha and Paula at "Marudyan Learning Centre". They came laden with presents for the children and the school. A heartwarming visit for us all.

We run 2 classes:
one from 3 to 4 for outside students
and the other from 4 to 5 pm for the older school girls
On Friday February 3rd we had the
heartwarming visit of Mr. David, Mrs. Allison, Mr. James and Mr. Ranjan from A.D.P. bringing world and educational maps for the children and had good discussions on how to take the project forward. Thank You ADP Management and Staff. You are super! THANK YOU!

The children were invited by WAVE cinema for a complimentary showing of Tin-Tin. This and the transport was arranged by Dr. Rajeev Nagpal, who also arranged the sponsorship.

Marudyan's main objective is bringing sponsored education to the out-of-school children of B.P.L. (Below Poverty Line) families and to give sponsored Skill Development Training to the older members of these families to improve their standard of living, regardless of caste or social and religious background.
Marudyan Society was started in 1998 by John Beentjes, his family and volunteer co-workers. Marudyan is Bengali for Oasis. The registrar of societies renamed it "Calcutta Marudyan". The spelling of Marudyan has been difficult to remember, hence we have made the easier to remember link http://www.teachus.in/
